Volunteering at Eckhart Public Library

We will need you to fill out a Volunteer Application & Hold Harmless Form.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION & HOLD HARMLESS FORM

If you’re under the age of 18, a signature from a parent or guardian is required. Before placement, individuals 18 years and older may be asked to submit to a criminal background check. Return completed forms to any Public Service Desk

We are currently looking for for individuals in the following areas:

Public Service & Programming

Adopt a Shelf: Making sure the library collections are in order

Inventory Assistance

Programming Assistance

Toy Sorting & Cleaning

The toy area is used by many of our patrons with young children, and we want to make sure this area stays clean, organized, and safe. We are in search of a volunteer who can regularly visit to clean toys and organize them, as well as to sanitize toys in our “Bath Bucket” to keep all our young patrons safe from sharing germs.

Willennar Genealogy Center

We are looking for volunteers for the John Martin Smith Collection and the Willennar Genealogy Center as a whole. If you like history, have an eye for detail, and enjoy research and writing you are just the person we’re looking for! Some computer skills are necessary.

Tasks include:

Scanning documents and photos

Data Entry

Indexing

Microfilm viewing to extract information

Proofing

Researching
