Reading & Discussion

Each year we will select, read, and discuss children’s literature with the ideas of the Newbery Medal in mind. DeKalb County Mock Newbery selects their own top pick at the end of the sessions.

Continuing Education

All teachers and library staff members that participate are eligible to receive a continuing education credit per session.

Virtual & In-Person Options

DeKalb County Mock Newbery meets in-person in a rotation at the participating libraries. Attendees can also attend virtually if that is a better option for them.
