Literary “Doctor Who” Series

Hop into the TARDIS and take a trip through time to meet famous authors through the BBC TV series “Doctor Who” at Eckhart Public Library!

The library will offer a three-episode series in January and February featuring episodes of the popular television series that feature writers. After watching the episode, you can discuss the episode and how it relates to the author being portrayed. You are invited to read a piece or two by the author before watching each episode, but it is not a requirement. You are not required to come to all three episode showings to participate in the series.

Episodes being shown are:

  • January 10: “The Unquiet Dead,” featuring Charles Dickens.
  • January 24: “The Shakespeare Code,” featuring William Shakespeare.
  • February 7: “The Unicorn and the Wasp,” featuring Agatha Christie.

The showings and discussions will be from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Close Community Room.
