this class uses library copies of Computer Savvy Seniors by U-Can
Computer Manuals. These manuals are printed and assembled in Indiana and
may be purchased online at ucanmanuals.com. No purchase is required to
attend this FREE class. Computer Savvy Seniors is offered the first
Saturday of each month. Students should commit to attending the entire
class. Breaks will be provided. Feel free to bring snacks or a brown bag
lunch. Please bring drinks in covered containers for the safety of the computers.
Hands-on instruction is slow-paced and relaxed, with lots of review and time for student questions. Topics covered include:
Computer Jargon: What does it mean?
What is the task bar and how do I use it?
Learn to work with windows in Windows 7.
Libraries, Files, Folders and Drives (including flash drives): How do these work?
Recycling on my Computer: Responsible file management for everyone.
Click, Double-click, Right-click: How do I know when to use each?
Customize and Personalize: Make the computer reflect you.
Download, Upload, Install, and Uninstall: Why is this so confusing?
Now that I understand the basics, what else can I do with my computer and how do I get the help I need?
